About the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal

The role of the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal is to conduct hearings/appeals from interested parties, mostly injured workers and employers, who are dissatisfied with a decision of the internal reconsideration officer of the Workers Compensation Board, and any matter referred to it by the Board.

Who serves on the tribunal?

Community members are appointed from among individuals who apply through Engage PEI.

The minister responsible is the Minister of Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population
