The Business Navigator offers a free service that helps guide business owners and entrepreneurs through the various Provincial regulations associated with starting, owning, operating and growing a business.

How can the Business Navigator help?

✅ Provide information on how to register your business on Prince Edward Island.
✅ Identify Provincial permits, licenses and inspections that are required to operate your business.
✅ Suggest resources to assist, support and grow your business.

Whether you have a new or existing small and medium-sized business, you can contact the Business Navigator to get support in:

  • starting or growing a business;
  • the regulatory landscape within PEI;
  • finding and accessing the right resources and information; and
  • connecting with a network of partners who can further support you.

Does the Business Navigator provide support in areas outside Provincial regulations?

The Business Navigator focuses on helping Islanders with Provincial regulations.
Please note that the following areas are not covered:

  • Federal & Municipal requirements;
  • advice;
  • small business counselling or business planning;
  • program eligibility; and
  • taxes.

However, the Business Navigator can help connect you with the right resources or contacts who can assist in these areas.
