efficiencyPEI once again recognized as national leader in energy efficiency

efficiencyPEI was recognized with a national award for its work in providing Islanders with energy efficiency information and programs.
The ENERGY STAR® Canada Awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. This year, efficiencyPEI received the Advocate of the Year award.
“efficiencyPEI’s hard work goes a long way in helping Islanders use less energy, which results in savings on energy bills and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. When energy efficient practices, equipment and appliances are applied to Island homes and businesses, we get closer to our net zero targets and do better for the environment.”
— Environment, Energy, and Climate Action Minister Gilles Arsenault
efficiencyPEI has won a total of 10 ENERGY STAR Canada awards since 2008, including six Advocate of the Year wins and four Program Administrator of the Year prizes.
ENERGY STAR Canada helps empower people to make informed decisions that reduce their environmental impact. The blue ENERGY STAR sticker on products like dehumidifiers and windows signifies that the product meets rigorous energy efficiency standards to help households reduce energy use and save on utility bills.
“I offer my congratulations to this year’s ENERGY STAR Canada award recipients. ENERGY STAR certified products, homes, buildings, and industrial facilities do the important work of improving energy efficiency and increasing affordability for Canadians.”
— Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the Honourable Tim Hodgson
