If you do not have a family doctor or nurse practitioner (primary care provider), you may be able to see one online through the PEI Unaffiliated Virtual Care Program. This program provides free access to doctors through an online health care platform called Maple. You will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet to use this service. A colonoscopy is recommended to screen for colorectal cancer if you are at increased risk because of a personal and/or family history of colorectal cancer or high-risk polyps. This page provides information on how to renew your PEI Health Card. When should I renew my Health Card? Your PEI Health Card is valid for five years from the date it is issued.
