The Estimates represent the financial plan of the province for the fiscal year commencing April 1, 2002, and are presented by the government in support of its request to the Legislative Assembly for authority to spend public monies.
In November 2015 Prince Edward Island joined the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness and entered into a joint burden reduction partnership with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
