Reconstruction for Keirs Shore Road in Malpeque

Reconstruction on Keirs Shore Road in Malpeque will improve the road strength, surface quality and drainage.  

Work will include excavating the existing road, placing new sandstone and gravel, and paving. 

The work begins at the intersection of Plug Street and Route 105 (Baseline Road) and proceeds west on Keirs Shore for 400 meters.  

Dates: 

Construction is expected to start on Wednesday, September 3 and last three weeks.

Traffic: 

Two-way, one-lane, stop-and-go traffic will be in effect. Delays can be expected.

Safety: 

  • Traffic should reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
  • Plan ahead to reach your destination on time.
  • Reduce speed in the area.
  • Obey flaggers and signs.
  • Remember, speeding and using your phone while driving, even when you’re waiting in traffic, are against the law.
