Islanders interested in participating in a chainsaw safety course can contact Forest, Fish and Wildlife.

Free, one-day, informational seminars will cover the safe operation of this equipment, personal protective equipment, chainsaw inspection and maintenance, and bucking and limbing.  Please note that this session is theory-based. There is no in-field training.

Chainsaws will be provided for the duration of the course, however participants will have to bring their own personal protective equipment.

Course dates and locations will be scheduled based on demand.

Register your interest at forests@gov.pe.ca or by visiting or calling your local Forest, Fish and Wildlife office.
