Information for patients of closed and temporarily closed practices

If your family doctor has closed their practice you must join the Provincial Patient Registry to get on a waitlist for a new family doctor or nurse practitioner (unless stated otherwise below). 

You are also eligible to register with Maple, Health PEI's virtual care provider for people without a family doctor or nurse practitioner. If your former doctor is listed below, you can register before you join the Provincial Patient Registry. If your former doctor is not listed below, you must join the Provincial Patient Registry before you register.

Information for patients of Dr. Chingling Yoong

All former patients should join the Provincial Patient Registry, a provincial waitlist for a family doctor. If you were a patient of Dr. Yoong for less than one year, when you rejoin the Provincial Patient Registry your name will be assigned at the date you first joined the registry.

Information for patients of temporarily closed practices

Dr. Syed Naqvi

  • Note: Dr. Naqvi is still considered your primary care provider while he is on leave. You don't need to join the Provincial Patient Registry.
