About the Provincial Apprenticeship Board

The role of the Provincial Apprenticeship Board is to advise the Minister on matters relating to the suitability of the provincial apprenticeship training and certification system as a means to meet the labour market needs of the province as outlined in the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Act and General Regulations.

Who serves on the board?

Members of the board are appointed from among individuals who apply through Engage PEI.

Who is the minister responsible?

The minister responsible is the Minister of Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population.
