Emergency responders can’t help you if they can’t find you, so it’s important to ensure your civic addresses signs are visible and in good repair.
Having the civic address clearly visible can save precious minutes in an emergency. Take time to relocate or replace signs if necessary.
In rural communities, all property owners are required to obtain and display an approved civic address sign. Signs can be purchased at most local sign manufacturer who complies with provincial standards.
In addition, Islanders in the following municipalities should contact the municipality for specific display requirements before replacing their civic address signs:

● Borden-Carleton;
● Brackley;
● Charlottetown;
● Cornwall;
● Georgetown;
● Kensington;
● Kinkora;
● Miscouche;
● Montague;
● O'Leary;
● Souris;
● Stratford;
● Summerside;
● Tignish;
● Victoria; or
● Wellington.
