Prince Edward Island Premier Dennis King issued the following statement congratulating New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs on his re-election:
"Last evening I congratulated Premier Higgs on his successful campaign and re-election.
Our provinces have always enjoyed a close working relationship and friendship, and I look forward to continuing to work with Premier Higgs as we respond and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping our residents safe and supporting our provincial economies through recovery.
As neighbours, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick share many interests and we will continue to advocate for and advance our shared priorities with the federal government and provincial counterparts across the country for the betterment of our region.”
