Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, Paula Biggar has asked for a review of the provincial Legislative Assembly’s sexual harassment and workplace violence policies to ensure a safe work environment for all.

In a letter to the chair of the Standing Committee on Rules, Regulations, Private Bills and Privileges today (February 5), Minister Biggar noted her support for the brave individuals across North America who have spoken out about sexual harassment. She also asked that the comprehensive review look at how to prevent incidents of harassment and violence, respond effectively to these incidents when they do occur, and support victims, survivors, and legislative members in the process.
