Due to ongoing power outages in the Kings County area, some health appointments are being cancelled.

The power outage is impacting primary care, public health and community-based services in Montague at the Montague Health Centre and the Montague Office Complex (Douses Road). This includes appointments with physicians whose offices are located in these buildings.

Appointments are being cancelled on a day-by-day basis. All cancelled patient appointments are being rescheduled. All services will resume as power returns to the region.

Islanders are reminded to please call ahead to confirm their appointment or to let staff know if they are unable to make their appointment. Islanders are also reminded to call 8-1-1 for non-urgent health care advice or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.

Kings County Memorial and Souris Hospitals are fully operational. There has been no impact to Riverview or Colville Manors. The Eastern Kings Health Centre is also operating according to its normal business schedule.
