Statement by Minister of Education and Early Years on the first day of classes
Today, the Minister of Education and Early Years Robin Croucher issued the following statement to welcome students and staff back to school.
“As we begin another school year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all students, educators, staff, and families across Prince Edward Island.
September is a special time of year; it brings a fresh start, new routines, and the excitement of possibility. Whether you’re walking into a classroom for your very first day or returning for your final year, this is a chance to explore, grow, and connect in new ways.
Students, embrace this year with curiosity. Ask questions, try new things, and be kind to yourself and others along the way. Your classrooms are filled with people who believe in you and are here to help you reach your fullest potential.
My sincere gratitude goes to educators and all school staff for the incredible work you do to support our learners. Your passion, creativity, and care shape the experiences of young people and lay the foundation for a strong future.
As we begin this new chapter, let’s continue to work together to make our schools safe, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone. I wish you all a successful school year ahead.”
