“On behalf of the province of Prince Edward Island, I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of former Lieutenant Governor Barbara Hagerman.
As Prince Edward Island’s second female lieutenant governor she represented our province to the rest of Canada and the world with grace and humility. She also served Islanders as a cultural leader and tireless volunteer for more than 40 years.
I was privileged to help honour Mrs. Hagerman at the recent evening of recognition and musical celebration at Kirk of St. James.
A member of the Order of Prince Edward Island, Mrs. Hagerman represents the best of us and she will be greatly missed.”
