UPDATE: Additional health services impacted by weather

Due to inclement weather and road conditions, the following additional health services have been impacted: 

  • All Primary Care appointments at Eastern Kings Health Centre scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled 
  • All Primary Care appointments at Montague Health Centre scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled 
  • All Primary Care appointments at Kensington Health Centre scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled 
  • All Primary Care appointments at  Harbourside Health Centre scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled 
  • All Primary Care appointments at Alberton Health Centre are cancelled
  • All Primary Care appointments at O’Leary Health Centre are cancelled 
  • All Primary Care appointments at Tyne Valley Health Centre s are cancelled
  • All Public Health Nursing appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled
  • All Public Health Family Nutrition appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled
  • All Public Health Dental Program appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled 
  • All Public Health Speech Language Pathology appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled
  • All Public Health Audiology appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled
  • All Public Health Pediatric Psychology appointments province-wide scheduled after 12:00pm (noon) are cancelled

Health PEI’s Office in Charlottetown (16 Garfield Street) and the PEI Medicare Office in Montague (126 Douses Road) will be closed to the public for the remainder of the day. 

Cancelled patient appointments are being rescheduled. 

Health PEI reminds Islanders with appointments at hospitals, clinics and other health care services to please call ahead to confirm their appointment – or notify staff if they are unable to make the appointment.

Islanders are also reminded to call 8-1-1 for non-urgent health care advice or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
