On May 11, Islanders will take to roadsides across PEI to pick up litter for the annual Women’s Institute Roadside Cleanup.

Yellow cleanup bags will be available starting May 1 at all Access PEI and Island Waste Management Corporation (IWMC) locations, along with Summerside City Hall and the Town of Stratford. Former Women’s Institute (WI) bags and clear plastic bags from your home can also be used.

Volunteers can collect litter and simply leave the clean-up bags along the roadsides. Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy will pick up the bags starting May 13.

Participants can also enter a contest to win one of three cash prizes of $100, courtesy of PEIWI and partners.  Learn more about contest details or the WI Roadside Cleanup at PEIWI.
