The Seniors Community Meal Grant helps offset food costs to create new community meal programs, or increase capacity in existing community meal programs for seniors. Meals must be free for seniors, and can be provided at a one-time event or at re-occurring events.

Is my organization eligible to apply?
The following are examples of organizations that are eligible to apply:
- Senior-serving clubs and organizations
- Non-profit organizations
- Community-based coalitions and networks
- Municipal governments
- Organizations that support Indigenous peoples
Meals must be prepared in a location with a valid provincial food permit. Organizations must also receive prior approval from facilities used to prepare and host meals.
Please note that applications are closed for the 2025-26 funding cycle. Applications for the 2026-27 funding cycle will open by March 2026.
How many applications can my organization submit?
Organizations can submit one application, requesting up to $5,000.00.
Is there anything that my organization needs to do before applying?
Prior to applying, organizations should review the Seniors Community Meal Grant Funding Guidelines (2025-2026). Applications that do not adhere to the guidelines will not be considered for funding.

Organizations must use the Seniors Community Meal Grant Application (2025-2026) template.
