The Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources offers an excellent Woodlot Owner Management guides. Those guides of interest include:

  • Field Guide to Pests of the Acadian Forest
  • A Quick Guide to Woodlot Management Planning
  • A Quick Guide to Tree Planting
  • A Quick Guide to Selection Management
  • Guides to Forest Ecosystem Classification, Vegetation, Types, Soil Types and Ecosites

Nova Scotia also has a great Woodlot Management Home Study Guide. It's free, but you have to register.
