About the Community Health Engagement Committees

There are two Community Health Engagement Committees in the province - one from the west and one from the east - whose purpose is to provide feedback on health policy to the Minister and Health PEI Board related to provincial strategies for health care delivery and to identify health-related issues in the region.
Who serves on the board?
Islanders who have an interest in health policy and live in the applicable electoral districts are appointed though Engage PEI.

The minister responsible is the Minister of Health and Wellness
