West Prince Ambulatory Care services combining at Community Hospital O'Leary for summer months to ensure sustained services

Health PEI is notifying residents of West Prince of changes to Ambulatory Care services in the area over the summer months. From June 26 until September 16, ambulatory care services at Western Hospital and Community Hospital O’Leary will merge in O’Leary. 

 

This temporary change will allow Health PEI to continue to offer the same volume of appointments, while also allowing staff to take deserved vacation. All services are appointment based and patients will not experience any change in service except location. 

“Last year, ambulatory care was moved to Western Hospital for the summer, and this year we are locating the service to Community Hospital O’Leary, for fairness. I would like to thank the staff who have agreed to offer services at one site to ensure sustained services for Islanders,” said Cheryl Banks, acting administrator for Community Hospital O’Leary and Western Hospital. “I would also like to thank patients and families for their understanding and co-operation during this period as we work to ensure services are consistently maintained in the region.”
