Annual funding supports transportation services through Pat and the Elephant

Hundreds of Islanders with a variety of mobility challenges and disabilities will continue to get where they need to go thanks in part to provincial support for Pat and the Elephant.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, Pat and the Elephant provides transportation services to hundreds of residents across Prince Edward Island who might not otherwise be able to travel. From medical appointments to social occasions and everything in between, Pat and the Elephant helps people with mobility challenges to continue to participate in their community and maintain their independence.
“Transportation services, like those provided by Pat and the Elephant, are crucial to the quality of life of Islanders with disabilities and mobility challenges. For over a half century the organization has helped to ensure that some of our most vulnerable citizens are able to continue to participate in their community and maintain their independence. We are proud to support Pat and the Elephant, and we congratulate the organization on its 50th anniversary in 2025.”
— Minister of Social Development and Seniors Barb Ramsay
