Islanders continue to dedicate their knowledge and time to provincial agencies, boards and commissions.
Through Engage PEI, eight Islanders have joined five different provincial councils and committees this month. With over 70 boards, Islanders can find their fit to contribute their skills and knowledge in areas that interest them.
“I am incredibly impressed by how committed Islanders are to their communities,” said Premier Dennis King. “There is a wealth of knowledge that Islanders are more than willing to share with government for the betterment of all Islanders.”
“My sincere gratitude goes out to the Islanders who are, who have and who will join our agencies, boards and commissions. The continued contributions and collaborative nature of Islanders will help make Prince Edward Island the best possible place it can be.”
Every month, up to 20 vacancies can become available. The Learning Partners Advisory Council, the Public Schools Branch and the Workers’ Compensation Board are currently looking for new members.
